GILA Railway is a 19 mile shortline railroad set in the fictional Southwestern United States. It rosters a small group of eclectic ALCO diesels and has two branches. The main branch extends from the Locomotive Shop at Salyer to the end of GILA trackage and an interchange with Falcon Mining at Whiskeytown. On the way are plenty of beautiful desert vistas from deep canyons to massive cliffs and bridges. In order to access the main freight yard, GILA must get permission from UP dispatch to cross the busy Diamond north of Salyer. From the other side the line extends only 2 miles or so to the industrial district of Varga where GILA services a steel fabricator, cold store warehouse, wire cable wholesaler, gypsum plant and a fertilizer distributor. The route has 16 bridges and one tunnel. 

 

Included with the route are 4 sessions. You’ll have the opportunity to take the reins of GILA1, which turns at Bosh and works the Kennedy Cement plant. GILA2 traverses the entire length of the route, interchanging cars with Falcon Mining at Whiskeytown. GILA3 turns at Varga and works the multitude of industries located in the industrial park there. The last job, GILA4, turns at Silo and works the Industries in Sayler and the Purina feed mill at Silo.
